Run Bhola Run!

Yet another day and I wake up all hazed. Trying to make sense out of the earlier day. Gazing out the window, sipping at some liquid caffeine and looking at the sub-civilization and wondering what must these people be thinking day in and day out? There does exist such an eclectic world out there, doesn't it? Such an interesting collation of people and the things that bother them, drive them, hurt them and touch their lives. I keep on pondering over this as Mr. Papon sings in his Coke Studio episode in the background, something that the guy I see below cleaning someone's car wouldn't bother listening even for a minute. He finds satisfaction in bobbing his head to the badnaam munni or paisewaloki pinki songs. The paperwala guy drops the newspaper and zooms away like Mr. Flash racing with time! He must win this race, today, tomorrow and everyday. Wonder, how he manages to get all enthusiastic about it everyday? I would have quit long back. He sadly doesn't have the luxury to do so.

So why is everyone rushing so much? Where the hell is everyone going? Am I the only one left behind? No wait, there is that old retired couple walking slowly, relishing their 'not having to run' days so much. Or at least I assume. They seem quaint but slightly irritated about something. What might that be? Possibly not having a daily agenda? Something to look forward to everyday? Something that attracts you towards itself without you making an effort to go towards it. I am sure it must be that, with a slight tinge of the nostalgia that I can see on the old man's face. He seems to be reminded of his 'Flash'y days. Well he gotta get used to this lifestyle soon cause no matter how much he feels or hears other people say, time, strangely enough isn't running so fast.

There goes another school van stuffed with a bunch of small kids giggling their hearts out, waving at the stupid world out there. Their jubilation seems so genuine. They are like a bundle of happiness running through the bylanes of the city reminding people to look at the brighter side of their lives (except for my neighbour's kid, who for some reason is constantly wailing). Anyway my coffee is over and that is all the amount of time that I can donate towards pondering, this morning. Must put my Flash outfit soon and run run run!!

  1. Pondering is good. It always is. At least you have the time, thought and the luxury to ponder over these everyday things. Take comfort in that. Don't forget to slow down on odd days, once in a while. Life is full of surprises especially when we stop running.
